I saw you tonight
in the deepest corners of my psyche
You wore a dress made of diamonds and silk
Your tears ran like the blood on my face
I called your name but I was tongue tied
You shook the ground with your weeping
While I tried to stop this bleeding

So I took you in my arms
And I tried to sing the song from another time
When our embraced could mend all the wounds
Your heart beats with mine, the equilibrium of our minds
But, I know it's only a hallucination from the heart

You start to quake in my embrace
Your skin cold like a lost soul
I hold your face in my hands, paralyzed
I cry out but nothing comes out
You look at me, tears staining your heavenly face
And I began to wounder why I ever let you go

So I took you in my arms
And I tried to sing the song from another time

But, I know it's only a hallucination from the heart

Your mouth cracks a smile
Like a jaded soul trying to find peace
You wrap your arms around me
And we begin to kiss
The lip lock makes my heart skip a beat
Your fragile frame, as if the wind could carry you away
I open my eyes  as you wipe away my blood
Then you fade away
Back into my mind

So we kissed again
And I sang a song from another time
When our embrace could change the world

After all, it's only a hallucination from the heart
